Shahrukh Khan finally crosses over to Hollywood
According to reports, Schrader, writer of classics like ‘Taxi Driver’ and ‘American Gigolo’, has apparently tied up with Mushtaq Shiekh andAnubhav Sinha to make a USD10 million-budgeted cops and mafia film titled ‘Xtrme City’.
The film has been announced by David Weisman’s ‘Vanishing Cinema LLC’ in unison with Shiekh and Sinha.
It is believed that SRK has almost given a nod for the same, thanks to his proximity with Mushtaq Shiekh, who did the screenplays of Khan’s films like ‘OSO’, ‘Billu’ and is also working on SRK’s under-production sci-fi thriller ‘Ra1’.
To be targeted at both domestic and international markets, ‘Xtrme City’ will be an action thriller set in the “brutal, impenetrable, criminal orbit of Mumbai”, say its makers.
“Spending time in India and working with a Bollywood talent like Shiekh has inspired and excited me to make a film accessible and meaningful to both Indian and American cultures,” said Schrader in a statement issued to the media. (ANI)

I was insecure about Gauri: Shahrukh Khan
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan may be one of the hottest men in Bollywood but the actor used to feel so insecure about his wife Guari Khan during their courtship days that he told her not to wear mini-skirts or T-shirts."I wouldn't like it if Gauri left her hair loose... she's so beautiful that I used to stop her wearing mini skirts or T-shirts," Khan said while admitting of being insecure of his relationship when they were dating.
Talking to director Farah Khan on her celebrity chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein, to be broadcast this Sunday on Star Plus, the 43-year-old actor, who married his girlfriend Gauri in 1991, said he was desperately in love with Guari, which made him act in such a "rotten" way.
"But I promised her the minute we married that I'd never behave in such a rotten manner that she would ever feel she was curbed to do anything. I was only insecure till we were married because I didn't know if she belonged to me like I belonged to her," the actor said.
Gauri, who has appeared on the cover of Indian 'Vogue', is considered one of the most stylish women in Bollywood and the actor says even their son hates seeing her in covered outfits.
"Today if she returns from a party wearing a long skirt even Aryan (their son) asks her not to wear it as he doesn't like her in long covered clothes... He considers her the most beautiful and his second choice is Angelina," Khan said.

Cartoons went searching for Shahrukh Khan
His fan following across the world is anybody's guess. But what came as a surprise was that two cartoon characters roamed the streets of San Francisco looking out for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was shooting in the city. While shooting there for "My Name Is Khan", Shah Rukh was visited by two green coloured, flubber-like characters Chouw and Mouw who had roamed across the city searching for the actor.

The characters barged into Shah Rukh's van and when they were stopped by the security, they started screaming for the actor who stepped out and surprised the unit by identifying them as his friends from India.Chouw and Mouw also got him a gift, which was confiscated by the security, who looked at it suspiciously. The gift box contained a switch that Shah Rukh hit to unveil Videocon's green lava-like new logo over the Golden Gate Bridge.
"I am delighted to receive such a wonderful gift from my friends Chouw and Mouw in the form of the new Videocon logo...I am confident, my best friends Chouw and Mouw will be loved by all and they are sure to capture millions of hearts and create smiles across the world. My best wishes to Chouw and Mouw," Shah Rukh said at the location, according to a statement released in New Delhi on Wednesday (July 1).
Being the central characters of the new ad campaign, Chouw and Mouw depict positive dimension of change. They are shown in different situations transforming the lives of people. While Chouw is the bigger, giant looking character with a kind and empathetic heart, Mouw is tiny and small but clever and street smart.
Produced by Karan Johar, "My Name Is Khan" is about a Muslim (Shah Rukh) who suffers from Asperger syndrome, a form of autism which impacts social interaction abilities and he is arrested as a suspected terrorist in post 9/11 Los Angeles after the authorities mistake his disability for suspicious behaviour. Also starring Kajol, the film is scheduled for a 2010 release.

Srk proud of his Mughal-e-Azam Camera
When SRK is showing you his palacial house Mannat the one thing he is quite excited to show you is his antique camera placed near the entrance of Mannat’s second floor.

The camera is the same one used to shoot the legendary flick Mughal-e-Azam starring Dilip Kumar and Madhubala.
A source says, “SRK is very fond of this camera and loves to show it off to his guests. It is more special to him as the actor is a big fan of Dilip Kumar and loves his movies. Having possessed the camera which shot Dilip sir makes him feel ecstatic.”
The camera was gifted to SRK by IPL commissioner Lalit Modi’s wife Mrinalini.
