What a Way To Go, Harry Potter!

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Not a Review.
IT'S FINALLY OVER.
After TEN YEARS
SEVEN BOOKS,
EIGHT MOVIES.
The Harry Potter series has finally ended!

It's not been a very easy franchise to follow.
Not all the films were great,
The first two were plodding bores,
The third was awesome,
The fourth, fifth and sixth were not bad,
And the seventh was just pointless.
But at least the whole thing has ended on a high.
But WHAT A WAY to end it all.

This is probably Radcliff'es best performance in the ENTIRE series.
At least you don't want to slap him silly.
And he's got more than two expressions this time around.
And Voldemort got more things to say also.
Damn scary bugger.
No nose also so scary.

Neville Longbottom!
YOU DA MAN!
Oooh, Emma Watson.
Cleavage Rating 6.5 (only because she doesn't er... flaunt it)
Ron is not so annoying either.

WHOA Flashbacks of LOTR.
And er.. Matrix Reloaded.
Don't ask.
Wah damn drama.
Damn emo.
So sad also.
*sob sob sob*

SNAPE! SNAPE! SNAPE!
Now THAT is what I call a payoff for the character!
THIS is what we've been waiting for!
And Alan Rickman is AWESOME here.
And Professor McGonagall is one badass MOFO.
I wish they'd shown her kicking more ass .

You know, they should have just made ONE movie.
Cut out bits of part one, and add an extra hour to part two.
Then it would have been SO SO much better.
But I don't blame the filmmakers
I blame Rowling-In-It.
She desperately needed an editor,
Especially in those last few books,
Which were thicker than bloody dictionaries.

But all in all, it's a good way to finish the series.
Lots of action, lots of drama,
And the mother of all wizard duels.
(actually, not really.)
(It's nothing compared to the Dumbledore vs. Voldemort duel in HP5)
It sure ain't no Return Of The King, that's for sure,
But it's still a brilliant way to end the franchise.

Oh, and who want to bet ten years from now,
J.K. Rowling-in-it is gonna write a prequel,
About James, Lily, Sirus' generation?
(or maybe a gay romance novel starring Dumbledore).
(Yeeesh)

Harry Potter & The Bloody Pointless Part One

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows, Part One
Harry Potter & The Movie Not Review, Part One
Harry Potter & The Bloody Pointless Part One

Harry Potter & The Deadly Serious.
Harry Potter & The Darkly Sorrows.
Harry Potter & The Bleakly Hollow.
Harry Potter & The Dramatically Slowest.
Harry Potter & The Two Part Cash Cow.
Harry Potter & The 2 1/2 hour Trailer

Harry Potter & The Dolby Stereo.
Harry Potter & The Dobby Whatfors.
Harry Potter & The Harry Potters.
Harry Potter & The OMG THIS IS TAKING FOREVER!

Ok, it's not THAT bad.
In fact, it's actually like the book.
Some good bits here and there,
A lot of sitting around in tents,
At least 450000 pages / 45 minutes too long,
And a lot of bloody pointless scenes.

There was a serious lack of Severus though.
Snape was AWESOME in that brief (and chilling) opening scene.
Then... habis. No more Snape.
Saving Snape for the next one is it?
Good to have more Bellatrix though.
Helena Bonham Carter is awesome.

Ooooh, Emma Watson. Hot.
Cleavage = 8 = just right.
She's legal now, so it's ok to give a a cleavage rating.
Not digging her new tomboy look though.
(Not in the movie, of course)
But she's still hot.
BTW, why is Harry taking his shirt off all the time?
Should give Emma Watson the clothes stripping duties.

Seriously, couldn't they have made it just ONE movie?
Then they could have done away with this one.
Condense everything into one movie,
More action, less pointless chatty scenes.
Then again, they're doing that to The Hobbit too.
Oh dear.
Oh well, at least this wasn't in 3D....

Harry Potter & The Awfully Long Movie Based on An Awfully Thick Book.

Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince
Not a Review.
Or Harry Potter 6.
Or Hari Berputar Dan Putera Setengah Masak.
Personally I like to call it Harry Potter:
And The Awfully Long Movie Based on An Awfully Thick Book.

But at least it wasn't awful.
The movie, not the book.
The book was awful, the worst I'd read
Dragging, pointless, bloated, and in painful need of editing.
And the written was horrendous.
('sucking on each others faces' indeed. HAH!)
I don't even remember what happened in it.
Except that SOMEONE died JENG JENG JENG.

But the movie is way better.
A lot easier to get through.
Because got more time for the more interesting supporting characters.
Especially Snape, who was excellent as usual.
Alan Rickman rocks!
Draco was pretty good this time round too.
And so was the new guy, Professor Slughorn.
And Luna Lovegood.
She's adorable.

As for the main three kids.
They were actually pretty good this time.
Ron was less annoying.
Harry himself was pretty good.
First time I didn't find him whiny or too kayu
And he was actually quite spontaneous too.
About time you got comfortable with the role, Daniel.

Oh, and Hermione?
Hot as usual.
And this time it's ok to say she's hot,
Because she ain't underaged anymore hahaha.
She's growing up to be quite the looker.
Cleavage rating 8!

It's a bit long though.
And damn slow.
Very talky too.
But a lot of nice touches here and there.
I was more entertained by this slow movie,
Than by the entire first three quarters of the last one.
And it didn't even have Voldemort in it!
Well, not the old one, that is.

Oh, and it's much, much, much better than Twilight.
At least the 'romantic' scenes were better done.
No lion and lamb or dazzling vampire shit.
This is the more mature Harry Potter.
If you can even call it that.
It's definitely darker.
I still like Azkaban the most though.
And I still think the book is crap.
PFFFBTTTTT!

Kiddy Book Movies Make Pretty Good Posters

This year there seems to be quite a number of movies based on kiddy books. And they've got some really nice posters I wouldn't mind hanging on my walls...

There's Coraline, of course

And then there's these awesome posters for Spike Jonez's Where The Wild Things Are:

Go check out the trailer for this movie. It gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside. :-)

Then again, the Harry Potter ones are the usual unimaginative ones with each of the cast just standing there doing nothing, in poses that is supposed to look 'cool' kononnya...

That said, Emma Watson IS growing up to be quite the hottie...
