Naughty or Nice, Santa's Gonna Kick Your Ass!

Rise Of the Guardians.
Not A Review.
SANTA CLAUS!
THE EASTER BUNNY!
THE TOOTH FAIRY!
SANDMAN!
JACK FROST!
Together at last, and kicking ass!

I LOVE team-ups like this.
Especially when you think about it,
It DOES make sense,
That all these myths and legends would hangout right?
I mean, surely they don't just muck around waiting for Xmas etc?
They've got to do SOMETHING.

I love how each of them have their own characteristics,
And how their worlds and powers reflect their holidays.
It's like the Avengers, but with holiday legends instead!
The only one I didn't really like was Jack Frost,
I thought he was a bit er... MEH.

Santa and the Easter Bunny have never been THIS badass.
Santa with "Naughty" and "Nice" tattoos?
Easter Bunny with egg bombs and a wicked boomerang?
And holy cow, Sandman!
Don't let the cute demeanour fool ya,
He is one kickass little dude!

HAHAHAAH I LOVED THE ELVES!
I'd love to watch a crossover between this and Despicable Me.
Just so Santa's Elves can fight the Minions.
CUTEST FIGHT EVER!
They can throw in Easter bunny's eggs as well,
Just don't let the Yetis join in.
Oh, and bring on Madagascar's Penguins as well! LOL

Oooh, the Boogeyman!
And his Nightmares.
I like how the Nightmares are horses.
Night-mares, geddit?
I thought it was Benedict Cucumberpatch at first.
Turns out it was Jude Law.

This is probably one of the more enjoyable Xmas movies I've seen,
It's fun, exciting, and cool.
Dreamworks' movies really are getting better and better,
Look out Pixar,
Time to start looking over your shoulder!

Puss Leaves Shrek In The Litter Box

Puss In Boots.
Not a review
Puss Puss Puss Puss!
If any Shrek character deserves his own movie,
Then Puss In Boots is it!
(thank god it wasn't Donkey)

You know his name!
You know who voices him!
Now you will know how he became LEGEND!
And then became a sidekick to an ugly green ogre.
Yeesh.

This was MUCH better than the last 2 Shrek movies COMBINED.
It only just loses to Shrek 2...
Because Shrek 2 was where he was first introduced.
Antonio Banderas is awesome.
Heck, he's ALWAYS been awesome.
And Puss In Boots is STILL the most awesome character EVER!
In the Shrek universe, of course.

Am I the only one who thinks Salma Hayek was a waste?
I only say that because having Salma Hayek in a movie,
And not having proper Cleavage Rating,
Is just SUCH a waste.
Especially with so many pussies around.
Hur hur hur.
(Then again, cat cleavage would probably be quite disturbing).
(Yeeesh.)

This was a real meow of a movie!
Doesn't choke on hairballs at all!
Leaves the last Shrek in the litter box!
Some good pussy parodies,
Some great kitty kapers,
And no pussy-footing around with pop culture spoofs.

Shrek should have stopped at two movies,
And Puss In Boots should have been the star after Shrek 2.
Let's hope they make another one,
And rope in Pinnochio or Gingy in!
Shrek, Donkey and Fiona can stay out of it.

Is this the year the Panda beats Pixar? SKADOOSH!

Kung Fu Panda 2
Not A Review.
WHEE SKADOOSH!
Wah Pixar better look out,
Cars 2 has a lot of ground to make up
Because this movie is actually damn good.
Heck, it's even better than the FIRST Kungfu Panda IMHO.

Tigress! Snake! Panda!
Mantis! Monkey! Crane!
Peacock! Rhino! Ox! Croc!
I love all the different animal kungfu styles!

The action was definitely bigger and better.
Each individual animal also got to show off more.
More fighting, more awesome stuns,
THIS is how a kungfu movie should be like!
(Without all the actors breaking their necks, of course)

Fooyor the peacock bad guy damn power,
I really like the way they used the bird's form,
The metal claws, the tail feathers, the spear,
And his feathers are deadly throwing knives!
Lord Shen would KICK Tai Lung's butt, no fight!

It's quite funny also.
And at least they don't use all those pop culture jokes,
That all the Shrek lar Shark Tale use.
BOOORING.
Oh, if you understand Cantonese,
Go watch the Canto version also.
It's funny!

Oh, and it's not all action action fight fight,
Got some parts damn touching also ok?
Especially with the goose.
And the 3D not bad also.
Watch out Pixar, this panda means business.
SKADOOSH!

Megamind? Nevermind.

Megamind.
Mega Not A Review.
Mega Predictable.
Mega Meh.
Megamind?
Bah, never mind.

Will Ferrell: Mega Blah.
Brad Pitt: Mega Super Meh.
Tina Fey: Mega Cliche.
Jonah Hill: Mega Annoying.

That's a FISH.
In a GORILLA SUIT.
SURELY you could have come up with something funnier for him.
Something FUNNIER to say, or a FUNNY GAG.
LOOK!
A FISH!
IN A GORILLA SUIT!
Think of all that wasted potential!!!

Why does this movie remind me of Monsters Vs. Aliens so much?
Is it the BIG BLUE HEAD?
Is it the indistinguishable lead female voices?
Is it the predictable storyline?
Or is it the fact that half the jokes SOUND THE SAME ANYWAY?

I guess it isn't THAT bad.
Still ok mindless entertainment.
Maybe I shouldn't have watched this after two days of continuous Futurama.
Maybe then the jokes wouldn't seem so lame then.
Or maybe I should stop watching so many movies.
Then maybe I would have enjoyed this,
(God knows everyone else did)
Oh well. Mega nevermind.

What The Shrek, This Ain't Too Bad!

Shrek Forever After
Not a Review
Aka. Shrek 4
Not too bad actually.
Actually MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the last one
More to the spirit of the first one,
All the way down to the shorty villain.
It's entertaining, but not great.
Looks like Toy Story 3 is DEFINITELY gonna win the smackdown.

Shrek 1 was awesome.
It was fresh, funny, and great fun.
Shrek 2 was not bad,
It was still funny and fun, and there was Puss in Boots!
Shrek 3 was just AWFUL.
Too many tired old spoofs, and recycled jokes.
Like flogging a dead donkey.

Shrek 4? Much better.
Somewhere in between Shrek 1 and 2.
At least this time they didn't overload on the spoofs,
And rely on all those lazy and boring pop culture references.
Oh they still had some here and there,
But it wasn't as lazy and constant as Shrek 3
This time there was actually a decent story!
Can't get over the waffle deux ex machina though WTF.

Even Donkey wasn't as annoying this time around.
Ok, he WAS still annoying sometimes,
But more Shrek 1 annoying than Shrek 3 annoying.
And Puss in Boots is still awesome.
Shrek is still the same though.
He's got to be the hardest-to-like animated lead character EVER.

Overall, not too bad,
I expected it to be bad, but it wasn't
But not as good as How To Train Your Dragon.
Nice touch during the credits though,
Adding scenes from the previous films in it.
Wah quite nostalgic also!
Made me wanna watch Shrek 1 all over again...

Mummy Mummy I Want A Pet Dragon Too!

How To Train Your Dragon.
Not a review.
Yes yes, NOW only I watched it.
After the WHOLE WORLD oledi watched it.
Reputation kaput.
HMPH.

Wow, a Dreamworks animation that is actually pretty awesome
Where did THIS come from?
All eyes were on the Toy Story 3 / Shrek 4 smackdown.
Suddenly THIS flies in and surprises everyone.
Now THIS is how you do it, Dreamworks.
First Kungfu Panda, now this,
You better start looking over your shoulder, Pixar...

DRAGONS!
I love dragons.
They fly, they spit fire, they eat people,
Eh, why the one here look so cuddly wan?
Ooooh quite cool also.
WAH so many different dragons!
I must collect them all!!!

Oooh, VIKINGS!
WITH Scottish brogues!
Vikings AND dragons! WIN!
No stupid American accents here (ok, maybe except the kids)
And no annoying characters either!
And NO stupid pop-culture spoofs also!
(I think they're saving them up for Shrek 4)

Ok the story is REALLY predictable.
Boy is different, does not fit in to town,
Tries to kill a dragon: fail.
So he catches one and trains it instead.
And then saves the world, and gets the girl.
Almost exactly like Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
Except with DRAGONS and no meatballs.

But the execution here is MUCH MUCH better.
The dialogue is good, the voices are good,
The action is good, the animation is gorgeous (watch it in 3D, folks!)
And what about that awesome final battle, huh?
And oh, of course... last but not least,
THIS ONE HAS DRAGONS IN IT!!!
Dragons: WIN!

Mummy mummy, I want a pet dragon also.
But not one that is so cuddly.
MY dragon needs to be BADASS,
RAZOR SHARP TEETH AND CLAWS!
FIRE AND ACID SPITTING ABILITIES!
FEARSOME ROAR THAT WILL SCARE AWAY MAT REMPITS!
And of course, it has to be toilet trained,
And must learn to sit, to roll over, to fetch...
And I'll call him.... Squishy.
And he will be MY Squishy!

I'd Pay double to Watch Mike and Sully Kick These Monsters' Asses

Monsters vs. Aliens
Not A Review
YAY MONSTERS!
They're back!
The furry monster!
The many legged one!
The one-eyed one!
The giant woman!
Eh wait a minute...

Oh wait. This ain't Pixar.
It's got nothing to do with Monsters Inc., noobs.
This. is. DREAMWORKS.
It's a whole different set of monsters you've never seen before.
Or maybe you have...
Remember The Fly? The Blob? The Creature From The Black Lagoon?
Too young to remember those?
Then surely you remember GODZILLA?

Well, those monsters ain't here.
But we DO get The Cockroach, The B.O.B. and The Missing Link.
Oh, and a giant Insectosaurus.
And of course, the 40-foot Woman
a.k.a. Ginormica
a.k.a. er... Susan.

If you can, watch this in 3D
It's awesome damn pretty.
The best part is the paddle ball.
It looks like it's gonna hit you!
The movie itself... oklar, quite fun.
Especially if you are familiar with the old monsters.
The B.O.B. jello thingy is quite funny.
So is Hugh Laurie as the roach.

Donno why Rainn Wilson is so popular though.
I can't stand his shtick.
And the president... some parts funny, most parts lame.
And Witherspoon was a little annoying in the beginning.
Whine whine whine whine.
But everything else was quite fun.
It's silly, it's a little mad, but quite funny.

I can just see Dreamworks doing a sequel now.
Adding Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein etc.
Throwing everything but the kitchen drainpipe monster in,
And making what is a solid movie into a lousy franchise,
Like they did to Shrek.
This was a decent movie, Dreamworks.
Leave it alone.
Oh, and Up is still WAAAAY better than this.
Hehe.
