Big Deal About Small Fry! New Toy Story Short, Whee!

Ooooh there's gonna be a new Toy Story short tagged on in front of The Muppet Movie next month! Whee!

It's gonna be called "Small Fry" and here's the synopsis:

Buzz Lightyear is left behind at a fast food restaurant when a kids’ meal toy version of Buzz takes his place. While Bonnie’s toys are stuck with the annoying three-inch-tall Buzz impersonator, the real Buzz is trapped in the restaurant at a support group for discarded toys. As Woody and the gang devise a way to rescue their friend, Buzz tries to escape the toy psychotherapy meeting.

Just look at that itsy-bitsy Buzz Lightyear! Haha so cute!

I'm Gonna Miss Them Toys. :-(

Toy Story 3.
Not a Review.
WELCOME BACK WOODY AND BUZZ!
And JESSE, BULLSEYE, REX!
And MR. & MRS. POTATOHEAD!
AND HAMM! AND SLINKY DOG!
AND the three green ALIENS!
OOOOOhhh. THE CLAAAAAW!

I watched the first two movies back to back just last month,
And I could watch them OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Now I wanna watch ALL THREE movies over and over again!
HEck, after I watched this, I wanted to watch it IMMEDIATELY again!
Never mind How To Train a Dragon,
The hell with Shrek 4.
PIXAR WINS AGAIN!!!

After the movie I wanted to get the toys lor.
Yeah, I only got like, ONE Woody and Bullseye figure.
And the Woody & Buzz LEGO set.
But hor, damn expensive lor.
And too damn many Toy Story er.. toys these days.
To think when Pixar pitched the first movie,
NO ONE wanted to make toys for the movie.
(Except THinkway, of course)

The old friends were there!
Except for Wheezy, and Little Bo Peep. :-(
And the Bucket-O-Soldiers.
And the rest are either donated or kept away in the attic.
I wonder if my toys get annoyed that I keep them in boxes under my bed...

But got new toys too!
KEN was damn funny!
Lots-O Hugs Bear was... grrrrrrr.
The rest was a bit underused though.
Too many toys, too little time.
Except Big Baby.
Big Baby was scary. :-(

Ooooh! Is that a TOTORO??!!??? WOOT!
Ghibli tribute WTF!
And Buzz's er.. alternate modes was BRILLIANT.
(not the demo mode. That was annoying. as usual)
And Mr. Potato finally gets his moment to shine!
(or rather, flap around, and get scattered around)
And one more thing...
OOOOOOH... THE CLAAAAW...

Sigh, I'm gonna miss them toys.
Some parts were damn sad ok.
Especially when you think about how the characters have grown,
From Toy Story to Toy Story 2 to this movie.
I forgot how much I loved the movies,
Until I watched them during the 3D special screening

Speaking of 3D, Toy Story 3's isn't really that spectacular
It's great, but you don't HAVE To watch it in 3D
In fact, watch it in 2D for the first time
THEN watch it in 3D!
YES, I plan to watch it AGAIN.
AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Oh, BTW, don't go in late.
As usual, there's a Pixar Short!
This time it's Day And Night.
It's actually really really cool.
Not as funny as the past ones maybe,
But it's pretty amazing how they animated it
You have to watch it for yourself!

Also, the end credits also have some cool outtakes,
This movie overall gives good closure to the Toy Story franchise.
I hope they don't make more,
That'll only dilute the magic.
On to Cars 2 and Monsters Inc 2 now!
WOOT WOOT!
PIXAR RULESSSSSS!!!!!

Oh dear. No wonder he's insecure...

PIXAR WEEK: Ride Like The Wind, Bullseye!

Toy Story 2.
Not A Review.
Pixar Movie #3.
Almost consigned to Straight-To-DVD Hell
Until John Lasseter rescued it,
And turned it into one of the best sequels EVER.

I have to admit, the Toy Story movies were never my favorites,
But I do like them a lot.
And I prefer Toy Story 2 over Toy Story 1.
Mostly because it's about toy COLLECTING.
Ok, so the toy collector here is a bad guy,
But I could RELATE to the obsession.
Hee hee.

The Roundup Gang was a brilliant idea too.
Especially the addition of Jessie and Bullseye.
Jessie's Song is one of the saddest moments in any Pixar movie.
And I can never get over seeing Bullseye chasing that plane. LOL.
Stinky Pete I could leave without though.
I wouldn't even buy his toy.
I'd leave him to be a shelf-warmer.

The rest of the gang also got a lot more time.
Mr. And Mrs. Potatohead! (I'm packing your ANGRY Eyes)
Slinky! Hamm! Rex!
More Buzz Lightyears! (Was I really THAT deluded)
The 3-eyed aliens! (You have saved our lives... we are eternally gratefulll)
My favorite part was them crossing the road.
BEST. ROAD. CROSSING. EVAR.

Barbie Dolls! (They turned down the FIRST movie, FYI)
Emperor Zurg! (No Buzz. I AM your FATHER!)
All that's missing is some robots.
Why aren't there any ROBOTS?
Oh wait is Zurg a robot?
What kind of robot shoots puffy balls that go poing poing poing?

Funnily enough, I wasn't collecting toys when I first watched this.
But I was when I watched it the second time.
And the whole 'Mint Condition' leave in box thingy made me laugh.
Because I don't EVER keep my stuff in mint condition.
Transformers are meant to be Transformed, dammit!

Can't wait for Toy Story 3 next year
Apparently Andy goes to college,
And the toys are left neglected.
Should be a pretty interesting story.
Heck, I can't even wait to see Toy Story 1 and 2 again...
In 3D later THIS year!
WOOHOO!!!

PIXAR WEEK: To Infinity And Beyond!!!

Toy Story.
Not a Review.
Because UP is err... up in ten days,
So I declare this Pixar Week 2009!
And will post one Pixar Movie Not-Review EVERY DAY,
Until Up opens NEXT WEEK!
Starting of course, with the one that started it all.
TOY STORY!

I watched this again recently.
After a LONG LONG time.
It's still as good as I remember it to be.
The story is awesome.
And besides, who doesn't love TOYS?
This is the one that started it all.
Without this, there would be no WALL-E
Or Incredibles. Or Finding Nemo.

My favorite characters are still the three-eyed aliens.
Though I like the piggy bank and Mr. Potatohead also.
Don't like Buzz and Woody that much.
Though Woody's horse in Toy Story 2 was awesome.
Oh, and that mutant toy scene was great.
Like horror movie only.

The animation looks a bit dated though.
Hard to believe this was state of the art 14 years ago.
But that's comparing it to the newer Pixar movies.
Compared to the OTHER studios,
Toy Story is STILL way better.
Can't wait to watch it in 3D later this year!

Watching it again,
It made me wonder what MY toys would do at night.
The Aliens and the Transformers would probably start a fight.
Indiana Jones would try to pick up Buffy or Scully,
The Batmans would try to woo the anime chicks.
And the Lord of The Rings stuff would compare er... swords.

Up Soars, Toy Story 3 Is Next!

First things first. Pixar is TEN OUT OF TEN - Up has opened at NUMBER ONE in the US Box office, and is the THIRD HIGHEST OPENING for a Pixar movie ever! (Behind Finding Nemo and The Incredibles)

I'll be posting my Not-Review later this week (yes, I've seen it, in fact, one whole MONTH ago, heh heh)... but you already know what I think of it. Yes, it's EXCELLENT. Heh.

Anyway, along with Up, a teaser trailer for a certain iconic animation film was released as well... it's the second sequel to the movie that started it all... give it up for....

TOY STORY 3!!!!
